If the opinion polls are anything to go by, their share of the Scottish vote will descend to a record low. The SNP’s will hit an all-time high.
What proportion of them are local to their seat, and/or hold elected positions on a council?
This mass exodus means Labour have lost control of the council.
If these results were replicated in May, Douglas Alexander would lose his seat. So, too, would the Liberal Democrats’ Danny Alexander.
I am critical of some measures which the Government has taken to accommodate some of Labour’s class warfare propaganda.
And not just in a negative sense. The Labour leader has his good points too.
A Labour MP newly elected in 2015 is even more likely to be a political insider or a union candidate than a woman.
The Green Party is best thought of as a free-range environment where middle-class liberal lefties can say what they really think.
The Strathclyde Commission’s proposals have paved the way for one.
