It wouldn’t take much to bring our ports to a grinding halt. Here’s how we can plan ahead to secure smooth-running free trade as we leave the EU.
The right answer is to discourage people from coming to Calais in the first place, and to help people directly in the Middle East.

Recall the navy. Send for marines. Learn from France’s willingness to deploy armed guards. Bring in a New Dover Patrol.
